To All Members,

This year has been exciting for the Newcastle Chamber of Commerce and it continues to get better. The weather over the Easter holiday was incredible and I hope everyone had the opportunity to enjoy it.

As promised, we continue to work on adding value to our membership and the local community. This month our networking will be a “Marketing Round-Table” session. We will have the opportunity to determine what topics we want to discuss and will work on these in groups and come up with recommendations, solutions and new ideas to help our business community. This will give us an opportunity to listen, learn and share our marketing expertise. The networking will be held on Monday, April 26th at 5:30, at St. George Anglican Church hall on Edward Street in Newcastle. The evening is free for members. There will be a five dollar charge for guests. Take a look at the Chamber website, or contact us for additional information. If possible, let us know if you are thinking of attending so that we can prepare in advance.

In March our networking was an H.S.T seminar and we had a turnout of over 40 local business people. We were able to have many of our questions answered. For those who could not attend or have additional questions, there is a link on our Home Page that will take you to Canada Revenue Agency and they will assist you.

We will continue to offer networking/ education sessions, round table discussions on varied topics and are also looking at supplying some advisory or mentoring hours. We will update you with information as we move forward. Please forward your ideas to us. I look forward to seeing you at our various events.
